Game Description

River City Girls is an anime-style beat-‘em-up that lets you join forces with a friend to play online for free. By connecting via the Internet online or on one screen, you can go through the main campaign on a pirate, taking on the role of ordinary schoolgirls from River City. The story centers on two friends, Kyoko and Misaka, who go on an adventure to rescue their boyfriends Kunio and Riki from captivity. The gameplay is a two-dimensional side-scroller in which you have to fight a huge number of different enemies. Online play allows you to team up with a friend to fight back against the leaders of mafia gangs.

As you progress, new abilities are unlocked and the experience of the main characters increases. With the collected money and bonus points you can buy weapons, combinations of attacks, new throws, special attacks, etc. The story is presented using anime inserts or manga-style slides.
