Game Description

RuneQuest: Warlords is a turn-based strategy game set in the mythical world of Glorantha, inspired not by medieval clichés but by the mysticism and tribal cultures of the Bronze Age. The basis of everything here are the divine Runes, which determine not only magical abilities, but also the very identity of the warriors. Belonging to certain Runes directly affects the available skills and cultural aspects of the controlled factions. The confrontation takes place on maps divided into cells, where tactical positioning and terrain play a decisive role in the outcome of battles.

The 18-mission story campaign places commanders at the center of a brutal conflict. Take control of Halgrim, champion of the Biling tribe, forced to unite his allies to repel the Chaos invasion from Dorastor. Throughout the story, RuneQuest: Warlords introduces such iconic figures to the universe as Ketil White-Eyes and the Lord of Chaos Ralzakark. Players will face three main forces: the tribal warriors of Talastar, the mutated monsters of Chaos, and the disciplined legions of the Lunar Empire.

Combat squads are made up of multiple models, each with their own health pool, making resource depletion a significant factor on the battlefield. Spending action points on movement, attacks, and special abilities forms the core of tactical planning, with heroic units having an expanded pool of points to perform more complex maneuvers. Each unit creates a zone of control around itself, making it difficult for enemy forces to retreat. In addition to the main story, the project offers separate scenarios in the format of skirmishes with artificial intelligence, as well as multiplayer arenas for competitive matches.
