SHE WAS 98 is a depressing psychological horror with a first-person view, forcing you to face the horrors of a fading consciousness within the walls of a dilapidated apartment. The space, once filled with coziness, is now an oppressive labyrinth of old things, faded photographs and painful memories. The main character arrives in this place with a noble goal - to provide care for his almost hundred-year-old grandmother. Abandoned by other relatives, the elderly woman is completely dependent on her grandson for help. Doctors make a diagnosis that explains the strange behavior of her with progressive dementia. However, it soon becomes clear that what is happening within these walls goes far beyond the usual illness, hiding something more sinister.
The narration is told from the first person, which provides maximum immersion into the growing nightmare. Instead of fighting monsters, SHE WAS 98 offers exploration of cramped spaces, where every creaking floorboard and dark corner becomes a source of paranoia. The oppressive atmosphere is created not through sudden frightening moments, but through the slow build-up of suspense and a feeling of constant psychological pressure. The main task is to carry out everyday errands, but routine actions turn into a collision with something irrational. The line between reality and hallucinations is gradually blurring, forcing one to doubt the adequacy of not only the elderly woman, but also the protagonist himself.
