Game Description
Shelldiver immerses you in exploring a vast ocean filled with unique biomes, from volcanic waters to crystalline caves. Instead of linear development, a branched skill tree is offered, which allows you to customize expeditions in detail to suit your own style of passage, focusing on the speed of collection or the depth of research. All these improvements serve one purpose - the development of an unusual business founded by an elderly turtle. The main character will not only have to establish trade, but also provide significant assistance to his entire native settlement, ensuring its prosperity through his enterprise.
The basis of the gameplay is underwater diving to collect valuable resources. With the help of a special bubble gun, jellyfish are hunted, among which there are electric, mutated and even exploding specimens. A powerful laser blaster is used to mine other materials, such as human debris, mushrooms or crystals. All mined resources in Shelldiver can be sold in your own store, and in between swims you can walk around the island, which distinguishes the project from titles where all interaction occurs through the menu.
The profit received from the sale of jellyfish is invested back into the business. This allows you to improve the submarine, working tools and increase the supply of oxygen necessary for deeper dives. Progressive development and expansion of capabilities are at the core of incremental mechanics. The ultimate goal is not only personal enrichment, but also the prosperity of the local community, whose residents are the main clients and connoisseurs of the exotic jellyfish sold in the small shop of the enterprising turtle.
