Game Description
Ship, Inc. puts the player in the shoes of a packaging employee, responsible for the day-to-day operations of a package shipping company. The main gameplay involves processing a queue of incoming requests. The gamer needs to understand the details of the order, select the container of the right size and place the items inside before sealing the cargo for shipment. The goal is to manage the facility by maintaining a continuous flow of packages moving from the receiving area to the truck. This process requires constant attention to the details of each individual task.
Mechanics at Ship, Inc. require accuracy, since actions directly affect the business. An incorrectly processed package or damage to its contents leads to consequences that affect progress. In turn, correctly completed deliveries generate income. Funds earned are used to purchase workplace improvements, including more storage space and better tools for handling materials. As you progress in this simulator, larger amounts of work and more complex assignments appear.
Increasing demands from customers create a time trial that players must overcome. Finding a balance between the speed of completing tasks and the careful packaging of each shipment becomes a central part of the project. Some items are marked as fragile and require special handling to avoid damage. Over time, the game introduces complex orders from multiple positions that test the ability to multi-task and organize personal workflow for efficiency.
