Game Description

SIDE EFFECTS is a brutal pharmaceutical experiment turned into a deadly survival game. Participants play the role of test subjects caught in the middle of a failed clinical trial. They will have to plunge into the oppressive atmosphere of psychological horror, where hallucinations are indistinguishable from reality. The only goal is to outlast your opponent by taking one dose after another.

The basis of the gameplay is turn-based roulette with tablets. Before each round, a set of drugs with unknown properties appears on the table: some can help, others cause harm, and others lead to instant death. The gameplay of SIDE EFFECTS requires participants not only to luck, but also to think strategically. The key parameter for survival is the resistance scale, the zeroing of which means inevitable loss. Between rounds you can use experimental items that can change the balance of power.

Up against another patient who will stop at nothing to survive. The opponent actively bluffs, adapts to the situation and uses all available arsenal to achieve victory. Various means are used, from vaccines to mouth clamps, which forces us to constantly analyze the risks. Every action requires a balanced decision, because the price of a mistake is your own life.

The project offers both a single-player mode for confrontation with artificial intelligence, and multiplayer sessions. From 2 to 4 people can take part in online matches, which turns each game into a unique test of nerves and tactical calculations. Only the one who can best manage randomness and calculate the moves of his opponents will survive.
