Game Description

Species Unknown is a dark sci-fi adventure in which mercenaries must face horror aboard abandoned spaceships. An unpredictable threat lurks within the depths of these wrecked ships, forcing squads of up to four to work together to survive. Each task plunges you into an atmosphere of oppressive uncertainty, because the hunt is led by one of five deadly entities with unique habits and strengths.

Successful completion of the contract depends on the team’s ability to adapt and use the tools available to confront the nightmare that lurks in the darkness. Events take place at the end of the 21st century, where the battlefield is devastated interstellar wanderers. Before engaging in combat, fighters must carefully examine the environment, collecting evidence to identify a specific type of monster. Missions in Species: Unknown range from retrieving valuable data from a black box to direct confrontation to capture or eliminate a xenomorph.

Sometimes the only option is to completely destroy the ship to prevent the threat from spreading. The gameplay is built on close cooperation and strategic planning, although the ability to act alone is also provided. The first-person perspective enhances immersion in what is happening, forcing you to constantly be on your guard. Rewards earned during risky missions allow you to upgrade your equipment, which increases your chances of surviving subsequent missions of increasing difficulty. The choice of enemy for each mission is determined procedurally, which provides high replayability and forces you to look for new approaches to each outing.
