Game Description

Star Vortex puts the player in control of a fighter pilot during a period of human conflict. An unidentified hostile force has emerged, targeting the fleets and demanding the return of the flagship to Earth with intelligence. The pilot’s job is to ensure that the mothership receives the gate keys from the numerous space sectors needed to complete the transit and deliver the warning. This journey involves navigating contested territories while defending the lead ship from constant attack.

Progress in Star Vortex is associated with the accumulation of experience, which allows you to develop the pilot and improve his car. A frigate can become a battleship thanks to upgrades that increase its size and capabilities. At the flagship shipyard, the player assembles his fighter from parts, determining the location of weapon attachment points. Unlocking new equipment slots makes it possible to install more weapons and utility modules, helping to create a vehicle for specific combat roles and tactical functions.

Each mission takes place in procedurally generated sectors, ensuring the uniqueness of their schemes. Navigating through these areas presents environmental hazards, such as high temperature zones or damaging corrosive fields. The new adversary may also initiate surprise incursions into protected systems, requiring tactical awareness. Combat encounters range from small skirmishes to confrontations with elite units. The entire game forces you to adapt equipment sets to counter the attributes of various enemy factions, such as Junkers or Outcasts.
