Strange Seed is a project where survival depends not so much on reflexes, but on thoughtful mutation. Fighting enemies, including ferocious Soulslike bosses, requires creating a creature with the optimal set of body parts for a given situation. Victory is achieved not by brute force, but by a competent selection of evolutionary improvements, turning each battle into a tactical puzzle. Sophisticated strategies allow you to find vulnerabilities in even the most formidable creatures, opening up opportunities for unconventional victories.
At the center of the story is a modest clot that fell from an unusual tree and has a unique gift. This protagonist is able to absorb the DNA of defeated enemies, allowing access to their body parts for his own transformation. Strange Seed’s gameplay allows you to freely experiment with combinations using 7 modification slots. It is possible to create a hybrid from elements of mammals, birds, insects and even dinosaurs, aiming for the perfect balance between powerful attack and speed to chase prey.
Exploring the world is an integral part of the process, encouraging curiosity. The journey will take the hero through more than 10 unique biomes, from dense forests and sandy beaches to city ruins and the red-hot heart of a volcano. Each location is full of secrets and poses its own challenges, which you have to adapt to solve. For example, by growing wings to cross chasms or shrinking in size to penetrate narrow passages, hidden paths can be discovered.
