On the pirateStronghold 2: Steam Edition you can play online for free with a friend or other players, building medieval castles, attacking other people’s fortresses or defending your own. On the Internet, online or locally, you can create alliances or participate in large-scale confrontations. The possibility of free online play allows participants to engage in trade, exchange resources and much more. Stronghold 2 features a single-player campaign and online play, featuring modes such as Free Construction, Rush for the Crown, Siege, Conqueror’s Path, and many economic and military missions.

You will need to collect resources, including wood, stone and various provisions. Resources are required to construct buildings, create weapons and maintain peasants. People come to the settlement and choose free jobs for themselves. The army consists of such units as a spearman, an archer, a crossbowman, an infantryman, a pikeman, a swordsman and a knight. Some units require a certain number of “honor” points. They can be obtained for tournaments, balls, feasts, or simply for popularity among the people. Buildings are divided into fortifications, military buildings, peaceful buildings, industrial buildings and city services. Citadel 2 takes you to Medieval England. The lands were reunited after the final battle with Duke Wolf. The hero of the sequel is Matthew Steele, Sir William’s page. The story features Tom Simkins and Constable Briggs, who act as advisors throughout the story campaign, helping or instructing the player.
