Game Description

Tactics of World War I, as the name suggests, uses the setting of the First World War. The game covers the entire period of the large-scale conflict (from 1914 to 1918). It is a real-time tactical strategy game. The video game is dedicated to the Western Front. It has 2 campaigns. They allow you to fight on the side of Great Britain and Germany, respectively. This video game features historical battles that actually took place. For example: there is the Battle of Passchendaele. The mini-map helps you navigate situations on the battlefield. The player can change the camera angle and scale the image.

Since this is a real-time tactics game and not a classic RTS, there is no way to mine resources, build a base, or create troops. In Tactics of World War I, you have to take care of your equipment and fighters, because you won’t be able to endlessly make up for losses. To minimize losses, it is necessary to perform flanking maneuvers, cover the infantry, conduct suppressive fire, hide soldiers in trenches or behind other cover, and resort to various tricks. More than a dozen units are available in the indie strategy: the very first tanks, machine gunners, cavalry, mortars, and so on. Each faction has their own. The user receives 8 units before the start of the battle and distributes them. 6 of them can immediately enter battle, and the remaining 2 will be in reserve.
