Testimonium plunges into a chilling story, the starting point of which is a mysterious package left at the front door. Inside the package, only an old video cassette is found without any identification marks, with the exception of a mysterious symbol burned into the body. The absence of the sender and the ominous discovery create an immediate sense of unease, which is heightened by the visual style, which is deliberately aged and reminiscent of ’90s-era video footage. The whole atmosphere is permeated with a feeling of the unknown, making you doubt the safety of what is happening and whether you should give in to curiosity.
The main task is to review the found film, which turns this short experimental project into a real test for the psyche. Testimonium takes about 15 minutes to complete, but during this time you will encounter a series of disturbing images and solve several puzzles in order to get to the bottom of the frightening message. This psychological horror forces you to act against your instinct of self-preservation, because the only way to understand what is happening is to press play and face what is hidden behind the analogue noise.
