The Bleakest Keep sends Edward, captain of the guard, to a fortified tower to confront the dark sorcerer Cormac. The adventure begins in the cemetery outside the castle walls, and the final goal awaits at the very top of the structure. Progression involves passing through 4 different levels in the style of dark fantasy, teeming with hordes of zombies, vampires and other creatures. The main task of the player is to reach the peak, defeat the sorcerer and thereby save the kingdom from the nightmares he unleashed on these lands.
An arsenal of more than 30 types of weapons is available to exterminate the monstrous inhabitants of the citadel. It includes both common medieval weapons like bows and crossbows, as well as more unusual tools for the setting, such as shotguns and rocket launchers; You can even use a frying pan in battle. Throughout the journey of The Bleakest Keep, a sorceress named Juliet offers her help.
