Game Description
THE CORRIDOR is an experimental adventure exploring the relationship between humans and interactive entertainment. The main action takes place in a closed space, where the only visible goal is to press the orange button. However, every interaction with this object causes the application to immediately close, forcing you to start all over again. The process is punctuated by fourth-wall-breaking meta-commentary and encounters with surreal characters, such as a cardboard therapist who acts as an inspirational companion. This approach creates tension and forces you to rethink familiar mechanics.
It’s all based on a simple concept: one corridor, a door and a button. Despite the apparent primitiveness, each new launch of THE CORRIDOR brings surprises, transforming the familiar environment and rules. What starts out as a walking simulator can suddenly turn into a completely different genre. Simple elements of setting are used to create absurd and comical situations that subvert expectations. The gameplay is constantly changing, offering little secrets to discover or developer code mode to activate, further blurring the boundaries between the work and its audience.
Behind the satirical cover are reflections on the bias and inflated demands of modern society. The project touches on serious topics in a fun way, inviting you to think about your own established opinions. The narrative may abruptly change tone, becoming a first-person shooter segment or a sequence that deliberately degrades performance for comedic effect. This short but intense title is packaged in a concise form, offering an intriguing experience with a memorable ending.
