The Diner at the End of the Galaxy is a management simulator where cooking becomes a tool of diplomacy across an entire star system. Successfully serving representatives of various factions earns influence points. These resources provide access to unique opportunities: from calling specialized merchants and purchasing rare items to constructing special rooms. The most enterprising managers will even be able to finance invasions of entire regions of space, receiving monthly rewards for each successful operation and changing the balance of power in the Nusa system, which is slowly recovering from a devastating war.
The basis for the establishment’s prosperity is well-structured management and culinary skills. Gameplay in The Diner at the End of the Galaxy requires mastering over 50 alien recipes using over 13 basic ingredients and 3 different cooking methods. You will have to hire staff consisting of cooks, gardeners and waiters, as well as organize expeditions to distant planets to search for rare crops. Creating a menu that suits the varied tastes of an intergalactic clientele is achieved through trial and error.
All the activity takes place on a desert planet, where the task is to transform an abandoned trading outpost into a thriving center of gravity for the entire galaxy. The establishment will become a haven for mercenaries, smugglers, adventurers and even influential aristocrats. The doors are open to everyone who is able to pay in the local currency - gobards. Starting with clearing the area of industrial waste, it is necessary to gradually build dining halls, equip kitchens and lay out gardens for growing exotic plants, creating a unique enterprise from scratch.
