Game Description
The Holiday Story is a psychological horror film with a first-person perspective. The events of the game take place on the eve of 1982, completely immersing you in a festive environment. The project meticulously recreates the retro style of the 80s, visually processed to match the characteristic aesthetics of VHS tapes. The initially welcoming and bright atmosphere of the elegantly decorated store is gradually replaced by an oppressive feeling of inexplicable anxiety. This feeling is reinforced by realistic audio, encouraging you to react sensitively to every sound. Behind the sparkling garlands and bright shop windows, something threatening lurks, capable of turning the New Year’s bustle into a real nightmare at any moment.
The plot focuses on the story of an ordinary person returning from a business trip. His only goal is to be on time to buy a gift for his son, to whom he promised a construction set for Christmas. His search leads him to a lit-up store full of toys, electronics, and videotapes. This place, however, turns out to be not at all what it seems at first. The process of exploring a store in The Holiday Story leads to encounters with anomalous events, during which familiar objects begin to behave unpredictably. The hero will have to find out what secret is hidden within the walls of the establishment, where a festive fairy tale turns into a frightening reality before our eyes.
