The timer starts the moment you turn on the game for the first time and does not stop even when you close the game or turn off the computer. The only thing that depends on you is how you spend these 400 days. You can explore the caves in search of new trinkets with which to decorate your room, or simply kill a lot of time exploring the albeit modestly furnished, but quite extensive passages.
Don’t look for the sprint button. The main character has nowhere to rush, so he moves rather slowly. The whole game is built on the ability to wait. If you don’t know what else to do, you can go to the game library and start reading classic books from Nietzsche to Moby Dick. The books are only available in English for now, please note. The game also has several different endings, but rumor has it that it would be impossible to play through the game multiple times just to see them all.
