Game Description

The Scouring is a real-time strategy game about the conflict between the human and orc factions. Players can choose a mode that includes building fortifications, collecting materials, and commanding military units. This gameplay requires strategic leadership of forces using both magic and guns to wage war. All factions must also defend their positions from waves of attacking undead that appear at night, which adds a survival element to base management.

This structure requires attention to both offense and defense in every game session. As an alternative, The Scouring introduces a mode that allows the gamer to control one hero on the battlefield. This character accumulates experience points, collects equipment, and can go into dungeons to search for items. The focus is on controlling that individual unit and its abilities.

Meanwhile, an artificial intelligence system takes over army management, resource gathering and base building, blending direct action with automated strategy. The actions and equipment of the hero directly affect the outcome of confrontations. This game supports multiplayer competitions for up to 8 gamers.
