Game Description

Trench Tales is a game project that introduces gamers to a dark alternative reality, the events of which take place between the First and Second World Wars. You take control of a lone fighter, transported to the strange dimension of Verdun by the actions of unknown forces. The story is told in third person, focusing on the action in this dysfunctional environment with elements of horror and dark fantasy. The purpose of your arrival is related to clarifying the circumstances of the call and confronting the entities responsible for your appearance.

Navigating through hostile terrain becomes the key to survival. The gameplay in Trench Tales is built around tactical combat encounters using weapons of the corresponding historical period and supernatural abilities of magical origin. The available arsenal can be modified and improved, selecting tools to gain strategic advantage over opponents. The journey takes you through a variety of Gothic-influenced environments: narrow trenches, imposing stone castles and swampy, dangerous swamps.

To advance through Verdun, you must wisely manage the provided equipment and innate special skills. Successful progression depends on mastering these interconnected combat mechanics. Combat is at the heart of the action, pitting the character against numerous enemies, such as animated soldiers and powerful warlords commanding demonic creatures. This game includes a system where failure, especially the death of a hero, carries significant penalties affecting progress and the collection of important currency.
