Truth Universally Acknowledged is a short dating sim where players experience a few days in the life of a typical high school student. The main character is a young man named Talai, whose daily life is filled with study and communication with friends. The narrative revolves around non-linear choices that determine which of four potential partners the protagonist will become romantically involved with. The key feature of the project is the decision-making mechanics: instead of standard text lines, you need to choose Talai’s facial expressions and emotions. The further development of events and the final ending of the story depend on this.

The action takes place in a quirky high school setting. In Truth Universally Acknowledged, Talay’s social circle includes four very different characters, each with a unique personality. Among them are the cheerful best friend Mii, who has extraordinary culinary talents, and the mysterious Courtney, who can always be found in the same place in the library. Also, the hero’s attention can be attracted by the shy and caring Keith or a charming celebrity named August, for whom Talay has a secret sympathy.

The project offers high replayability due to many plot branches and several endings. For convenient navigation through all available branches of the narrative, a special tree diagram is provided, which allows you to return to key points in the story at any time and explore alternative scenarios. Immersion in the world of school everyday life is facilitated by a completely original visual design, as well as a specially written musical and sound accompaniment that creates a light and romantic mood.
