Game Description
UltraNothing is about a philosophical journey to a state of absolute peace called divine nothingness, and getting rid of the metaphorical noise. The project challenges conventional ideas about the genre, organically combining elements of platforming and deep strategic planning. It’s all about solving puzzles, where the end goal is often to get a specific item to a terminal. Gradually, the mechanics of turn-based command of units, construction of structures, and even survival in an abstract environment are integrated into the gameplay. This layering of systems forces you to take a fresh look at previously traveled locations, which acquire additional, hidden meaning and context.
Initially, the process of passing may seem deceptively elementary, boiling down to moving blocks in a surreal world. However, UltraNothing is built on the principle of subtraction, where silence and minimalism are the main tools of storytelling, and the meaning is revealed not in what is added, but in what is removed. The space for exploration constantly increases as stages are completed, opening up access to new areas on the global map. Strange dialogues that reveal the philosophical background of what is happening also contribute to immersion in the atmosphere. This project is aimed at those who value leisurely intellectual tension rather than bright dynamics and entertainment.
