UnderRail originates far in the future. Due to an eco-catastrophe, humanity cannot exist on the surface of the earth. The remnants of people are now huddled in underground metro stations, gradually reviving the nation. But there would be no role-playing game if a conflict had not started between individual factions of residents. Dungeon factions regularly shed each other’s blood, from which the main character will have to escape from shootouts and battles.
During the entire passage of UnderRail, the gamer will not be able to teleport to given points, so he will need to travel between stations on his own two feet. As you move around, you will be able to meet merchants, ordinary passers-by and other local residents, with whom the player will be given the opportunity to communicate, find out details about the disaster, or receive tasks. Basically, secondary missions will involve searching for items, transferring between citizens, or protecting peaceful settlements from attacks by bandits.
The game has a crafting system. It allows you to customize weapons and other equipment, create armor, or even sew slippers from rat fur. However, you will have to spend experience points on crafting. You can make ammunition for a specific type of opponent to increase the likelihood of victory. In addition, the player can pick up useful items from the corpses of soldiers or find them in some rooms of the dungeon in order to sell or exchange these items with merchants. But it is not necessary to take everything, because each specific seller will be ready to purchase only the goods that he really needs.
