Game Description

Upin and Ipin Universe offers an open world based on a Malaysian kampung village. Players navigate the world without timers or explicit instructions, encouraging independent exploration. The entire map, from jungle rooftops and water towers to rivers and bamboo bridges, is available from the start. The full cycle of day and night along with a dynamic weather system changes the conditions in the game environment.

You can control both twins in single player mode or team up with another person in local co-op. The central questline in Upin and Ipin Universe involves helping a visitor find his way home. The narrative requires interaction with other villagers such as Mei-Mei, Ehsan and Jarjeet, who provide quests and challenges. Each such interaction advances the plot and opens up new activities for the gamer.

In addition to the main goal, numerous side activities are provided. These include farming with planting and watering crops, as well as fishing, with different types of fish appearing depending on the location, bait and time of day. There’s catching insects in the jungle, cooking Malaysian food in a rhythm minigame, and racing radio-controlled cars along tracks that change their configuration daily. Another activity is Gasing battles, which take place in arenas with tops.
