Game Description
VEIN is a journey into a world that has experienced the collapse of civilization, where survival depends on the ability to adapt to constantly changing conditions. The change of seasons and random global events continuously transform the landscape and influence tactics. Here, every sound matters, as opponents controlled by artificial intelligence are able to track down survivors, relying on sight, hearing and smell. This forces you to be constantly on alert, because even abandoned buildings can harbor a mortal threat in the form of mutated zombies.
The basis of existence becomes the creation and protection of one’s own shelter. By erecting fortified bases on the ruins of civilization, the hero ensures his safety from attacks by marauders and aggressive creatures. The VEIN project implements a deep survival system that forces over time to move from searching for canned food to complete autonomy. To provide yourself with food, you need to master hunting, fishing and farming, because the resources of the old world are not endless. The gameplay offers both solo confrontation with dangers and cooperative restoration of society together with other participants.
Almost every object in the environment is interactive, which opens up scope for tactical maneuvers: from using a can of beans as a projectile to controlling water taps. Traveling over large areas is facilitated by the use of vehicles that require regular maintenance, refueling and repairs. Creating a unique character with customizable appearance and characteristics allows everyone to live their own unique story in this harsh but detailed world.
