Veterum

Veterum is a turn-based tactical strategy with role-playing elements, the success of which directly depends on many interrelated factors. The detailed combat system forces you to take into account not only the relative position of the units, but also such parameters as morale, accumulated fatigue, the direction of the fighters' gaze, and even the level of illumination of each cell. The environment is fully interactive: you can build barricades, dig ditches, or freeze rivers to create crossings. Before the start of a battle, you can use one-time scrolls that allow you to cause rain, poison enemies, or build a catapult.

The last squad of the Order of the Gatekeepers comes under control, which will have to stop the impending apocalypse in the world of dark fantasy. Awakened ancient wilds and bloody cults threaten the last strongholds of civilization. In the Veterum project, not only people, but also hardy dwarves, mysterious elvers and semi-wild Turans are ready to stand under the banner of the protagonist. However, interracial tensions make their own adjustments, and not all allies will be happy to fight shoulder to shoulder.

Journeys take place in an open world, where the story campaign is combined with randomly generated tasks and events, which ensures the uniqueness of each passage. The development of fighters includes improving characteristics, learning active and passive skills, as well as equipping rare artifacts. A deep difficulty adjustment system allows you to adjust not only the overall level of challenges, but also individual parameters, including the chance of hitting or the number of awards received. For creative individuals there is a map and unit editor.

Consider the morale and fatigue of units, which affect their effectiveness in protracted battles. Actively interact with the battlefield, changing the landscape to gain a tactical advantage. Keep an eye on line of sight, which units are facing, and weather effects. Use fire to illuminate the area when encountering night creatures.
