Windward Horizon immerses you in a vast open world with a focus on exploration and naval combat. As a captain, not tied to any faction, the player begins a journey through a unique map, randomly generated in each new playthrough. The project offers freedom of choice: you can trade, complete quests, look for treasures, or simply enjoy the atmosphere of a relaxing sea voyage.
Windward Horizon can be played either solo or in co-op. The ability to choose to explore the world alone or with friends allows each user to tailor the gameplay to their preferences. Trading with different factions, completing quests or searching for treasures - all this adds variety to the gameplay. Those who prefer a more relaxed approach will be able to simply explore the open waters without engaging in combat. A special feature of the title is the dynamic impact of the player’s actions on the world.
Cities and provinces need resources to develop, and providing these resources may help one of the leaders, but also jeopardize the interests of other factions. Your decisions can change the political situation in the region, even without the use of weapons. The main emphasis is on ship customization. Each gamer can build a ship that suits their playstyle, be it a powerful armored ship or a fast vessel for long-range attacks. The talent system allows you to improve abilities in three directions: defense, attack or support. As you progress in the project, you can hire a crew and discover new, more powerful ships, which makes it possible to become a truly legendary captain with a unique fleet.
