Yes, My Queen is a tactical strategy game where magic and absurd tricks break the canonical rules of chess. To break free from captivity, you will have to defeat a chain of opponents in a series of fights, whose power is constantly increasing, which will require both a sharp mind and a willingness to disregard the foundations. There are over forty different cards at your disposal, the use of which can radically change the situation on the board. For example, it is allowed to initiate the launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile, organize an invasion of the dead when resurrected fighters attack everyone, or build defensive barriers to cover important sectors.
Initially, only a handful of fighters are under command, but after each victory, there is a chance to replenish your ranks, gradually amassing an impressive army. The mechanics are based on a system of continuous progression. Mana collected from attempts is spent on purchasing new cards and units, serving as permanent upgrades for future sessions. Some of the boosts received are permanently fixed and help in further progress towards the final, while the rest are canceled. This gives each new start a unique character. The final triumph will depend on the chosen approach: defeat enemies through superior intelligence or crush them with brute power.
The main task is to crush all enemy Queens who block the road to deliverance. Players will face over ten complex chess puzzles, as well as confrontation with three powerful leaders. An interesting mechanic allows you to build relationships with defeated opponents after a victory, even to the point of establishing friendly or even romantic relationships with them. As a result, each battle takes on the features of a non-linear narrative, where campaigning to attract enemy pawns to your side sometimes brings more benefits than the traditional checkmate.
