Game Description

Ys IX: Monstrum Nox is a Japanese role-playing game whose story begins with the main character being imprisoned in Balduc. Adol faces a curse that makes him a powerful Monstrum. Having acquired superhuman abilities, he must confront the villain Balduk. The evil magician wants to devour not only the city of Grimwald Knox, but also become the ruler of the entire kingdom.

All 6 heroes are a mixture of humans and monsters. All characters have a personal unique gift that gives them superpowers. For example, you can climb walls, discover hidden objects, etc. However, they all have only one goal - to protect the city from ghostly creatures. Go explore the huge city, completing various tasks. Help those in need and upgrade your abilities.

You will find many mechanics familiar to JRPGs. Perform Flash Dodge and Flash Guard to outsmart your opponents. He is helped by his faithful companion Dogi. Together they need to defend the annexed Balduk, which was captured by the Romun Empire.

When Adol was captured, he met the girl Aprilis. She is a witch who turned the hero into a supernatural creature. Having endowed him with incredible abilities, the sorceress said that the only chance to lift the curse is to defeat the evil Balduk, who poses a threat to all humanity.
