Game Description
Yume Kakigori is the story of a visitor from different times and places who finds solace in a secluded establishment located among the clouds. Each ice-cold dessert served determines the further development of the plot, opening new branches of dialogue and relationships. Objects and scattered notes left by guests serve as fragments of a large mosaic, by collecting which one can understand their past. Gradually, these details not only form a closer connection with each client, but also reveal the truth about this unusual world and its inhabitants.
The owner of the establishment, having lost his voice, embarks on a journey to restore his identity in a monochrome world under the guidance of the mysterious Raven. It is at Yume Kakigori that an icy treat becomes the only way to express oneself and a tool for building trusting bonds. Through the creation of desserts for guests, the protagonist confronts emotions that cannot be expressed in words. This quiet journey is aimed at regaining not only speech, but also the sense of self, lost along with the ability to speak.
The communication process is based on mixing three syrups, symbolizing Emotion, Desire and Thought, to create unique recipes that convey complex feelings. The gameplay suggests not just following the instructions, but interpreting the meaning of each combination, because the same taste can carry different shades of meaning depending on the client’s situation. Deciphering these nuances and choosing a treat that most accurately reflects inner feelings forms the basis of this narrative experience, where dessert becomes a real message from the heart.
